2026 Chevrolet Corvette EV Price, Specs, Performance – Introduced on the market in late 2019, the C8 series of Corvette EVs looked to be a radical departure from precedent with its mid-engine design. Chevy continued to improve the sports car with the introduction of the 2024 E-Ray hybrid. A completely electric version of the Corvette EV is already in the works, though, so that’s another change.
Despite the lack of details, Chevrolet has announced that the Corvette EV will be available shortly. Our expectations are for a powerful three- or four-motor powertrain that comes standard with all-wheel drive and produces around 1000 horsepower. Exterior and Interior
Leather, real metal, and faux suede are among of the materials that may be used to personalise the futuristic interior of the mid-engine C8 Corvette EV. A embroidered headliner adds an extra touch of elegance. Still, it only has room for two people. The coupe’s detachable roof, which fits into the trunk just behind the engine, may be removed by a single person. It resembles previous Corvette electric vehicles.
A large infotainment touchscreen is angled towards the driver, who can comfortably control a 12.0-inch reconfigurable gauge display and a squared-off steering wheel. In order to make the most of the driver-centric design philosophy, the interior has a split-level cockpit with a tall bank of temperature control controls mounted on a wall-like barrier between the driver and passenger.
The 2017 Corvette EV features an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE mobile hotspot, and Bluetooth audio streaming, all powered by Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 Plus system. There is a fast response time and the UI is easy to use. The electric Corvette has two trunks, one in the front and one behind the engine, providing a total of thirteen cubic feet of storage space.
Chevrolet claims that the Corvette EV’s backseat can hold two sets of golf clubs stacked high. It seems Chevy is correct; we tried it out and it fit our set of clubs perfectly. Upon inspecting the available space, we discovered that the front trunk of the Corvette EV could accommodate one piece of carry-on luggage and the back compartment could accommodate two.

Engine and Performance
Although it is now housed under the passenger compartment, the same 6.2-liter pushrod V-8 that ordinarily sits in front of it remains, producing 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. An additional 495 hp are yours to enjoy thanks to the Z51 package’s dual-mode performance exhaust. The Z51 package includes summer tyres, stronger brakes, and an automatic limited-slip rear differential.
A first for an electric Corvette, the sole transmission available is an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. A large gear selector button on the centre console and two large shift paddles on the steering wheel control it. A manual gearbox is not currently available. The Corvette EV gets 15 city mpg, 27 highway mpg, and 19 total mpg according to the EPA. At 75 mph, we tested its highway fuel efficiency and found it to be 26 mpg, which is 1 mpg worse than our expectations. Remember the Vette with the engine up front? That was the previous version, and they got 27 mpg in the same test.

The estimated price range for the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette EV, including all options and grades, is $150,000 to $170,000. Chevrolet has been tight-lipped on the Corvette EV’s pricing and trim levels, but we’re guessing it will be far more than the $62,195 starting price of the gas-powered model.
