Compared to sedans and sport-utes, a sports coupe lacks practicality. This led me to assess it objectively, without taking into account the preferences of drivers who prioritize functionality. It is a big car outside but surprisingly roomy inside, just like its Detroit competitors. I have no doubt that your passenger will appreciate the optional knee pads that were added on the sides of the center console in my vehicle, even if I drew a deep breath when I saw the price tag of $480 for them.

Standard on the 2SS trim level of the Chevrolet Camaro SUV are a plethora of high-tech safety features, including heated and ventilated seats, a heads- up display, an auto-dimming mirror for the driver, a cameras in the rear mirror, forward a collision alert, blind spot monitoring, maintain park assist, and 20-inch wheels in summer run-flat tires. Along with the mandatory rearview camera, these features are a must-have. This vehicle is being sold for $49,448.

An eight-inch touchscreen is the norm for the infotainment system. It has a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, Bluetooth audio streaming for two devices, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. You can try out the latter two features for free during the trial time, but you’ll need to subscribe to keep them after that. Engine and Performance

The Camaro SUV comes with four engine options, one of which is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 275 horsepower. The 3.6-liter V6 engine, which can produce 335 horsepower, comes next. My engine was a perfect match for the vehicle; it had plenty of power to get going quickly and handled well on highways and city streets. It is often believed that bigger and more powerful engines are inherently superior. Nonetheless, my engine was a perfect match for the car.

Although my vehicle came standard with a six-speed manual transmission that includes a rev-matching function, I upgraded to a ten-speed automatic transmission for an extra $1,835. The latter, although occasionally overly busy, functioned excellently overall. By pairing the V8 with an automatic transmission, you may reduce fuel consumption slightly when you’re not using full power because the cylinders are deactivated.  2026 Chevrolet Camaro SUV Specs

Payment is required in order to play. Camaro SUVs equipped with automatic transmissions are officially rated at 14.6 liters per 100 kilometer in city driving, 8.9 liters per 100 kilometer highway driving, and 12.1 liters per 100 kilometer mixed driving. I averaged 12.6 gallons per hundred kilometers for the week that I had it.

If you compare that overall MPG to other V8s in its class, especially those with automatic transmissions, it is about 12.1 liters per hundred kilometers. There are a lot of blind spots, such an almost impossible over-the-shoulder check, because of the low roof and small windows, otherwise I would have given it a better rating. I would have rated it higher if I could have. Fortunately, blind-spot monitoring is standard equipment on most planes. And if you want to see what’s behind you, unhindered by the back seat or the pillars, you may use the rear-view camera mirror. Regardless, I lack a good sense of depth perception and struggle to focus on things with brief glances. Typically, I’d transform it back into a regular mirror by flicking the switch.

Starting at $41,548 for the base LT1 trim level, the price of the 6.2-liter V8-powered Camaro SUV rises to $44,548 for the 1SS, and finally reaches $49,448 for my 2SS coupe. A 5.7-liter V8 engine with 375 horsepower starts at around $41,000 at Dodge, while a 6.4-liter V8 engine with 485 horsepower starts at $52,595. The Mustang offers the most bang for the buck with its starting price of $40,790 and 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates 460 horsepower.

Embroidering the Camaro SUV’s name onto the console lid cost $415, for example, and my tester had a lot of features for its starting price. However, it was eventually upgraded with some extremely pricey options. To be honest, the fact that my car didn’t look like it was worth around $65,000 was the biggest issue. A combination of its unremarkable paint job and wheels contributed to this dull appearance.
