2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Review, Changes, Performance

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Review, Changes, Performance – The Chevrolet Trax could be the best subcompact GM has made so far, despite the fact that it only has front-wheel drive (FWD). That void is filled by the roughly identical 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Although it is available as an option on the base trim, all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard on the two priciest trims. The RS that was tested had a pre-tax MSRP of almost $42,000 and came with a considerable $4,975 worth of accessories. 2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Review

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Redesign and Update Plan

Exterior and Interior

New front and grille designs distinguish the Trailblazer versions this year, while the RS trim rides on 19-inch wheels, which is somewhat bigger than last year’s 18-inch rims. Paint in white and gray is already part of the pricing, but the addition of the most common colors—including the gorgeous Crimson Red—is $495.

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Changes

A standard 11-inch touchscreen in the center and an 8-inch digital instrument unit make up the Trailblazer’s interior, which has a new-for-2027 twin-screen display. Stitching and the dash in an accent color are part of the top trim.

Like many other new cars, this one has an 11-inch touchscreen, wireless technology like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and subscription services, but no built-in navigation. The tester’s trim level had an optional seven-speaker audio system, single-zone temperature control, LED headlights, and six speakers as standard equipment.

Next, the motorized driver’s seat, center armrest for the back seat, and faux-leather upholstery are added to the activ and RS levels. Among the available extras are a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free power tailgate, an auto-dimming mirror, automated climate control, a 120-volt power outlet, a cargo cover, and a wireless charger.

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Specs

Engine and Performance

Depending on the desired number of wheels being driven, the Trailblazer is available with either one of two turbocharged three-cylinder engines. Powering the front-wheel-drive LS and LT models are a 1.2L engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, along with an automated continuously variable gearbox (CVT). An all-wheel-drive system is available with a 1.3-liter engine that produces 155 horsepower and 174 Newton-meters of torque, along with a standard clutchless automatic gearbox.

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Performance

When zipping around town, even in heavy traffic, that small 1.3L engine seems lively enough. Although it travels well once you reach highway speeds, it becomes wheezy as you apply more pressure. Your passing movements may be planned with ease.

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Fuel Economy

Officially, the Trailblazer with AWD gets 9.0 L/100 km in city driving, 8.1 L/100 km on highway driving, and 8.6 L/100 km combined driving according to Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The FWD version has a combined rating of 7.8 L/100 km. Regular-grade fuel is required.

Long highway travels were my norm, and I got 8.3 L/100 km on average. This three-cylinder engine outperforms some of its four-cylinder rivals, but it’s still not far off. For example, the combined fuel economy of the Subaru Crosstrek is 8.0 L/100 km, while that of the Toyota Corolla Cross is 7.8 (the hybrid version gets just 5.6 L/100 km).

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Safety Features

All new cars are required to include a backup camera, and the basic LS trim has driver-help features including automatic high-beam control, teen driver controls, lane-keep assist, buckle-to-drive, and emergency front braking with pedestrian recognition. Adaptive cruise control was an additional option for my tester. That technology seemed a little clumsy while responding to traffic when I initially drove the brand new 2021 Trailblazer, but it appears to have been fine-tuned today since it functions perfectly. 2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Review

2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Price and Release Date

Price points for the Trailblazer range from $28,699 for front-wheel drive and $30,699 for all-wheel drive, with a maximum price tag of $34,999. It’s comparable to competing products that provide both: Prices for the Kia Seltos begin at $27,345 and go up to $37,880 for the Toyota Corolla Cross.

All costs include delivery and range from $31,290 to $40,290 for the Subaru Crosstrek with standard AWD. The Buick Encore GX, a sibling model to the Trailblazer, begins at $31,649 and is available with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) with the same 1.3L engine.

The 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer is competitive in the subcompact crossover market, but it isn’t particularly outstanding. You should give it a good spin about town and on the interstate to see how it compares to others in its class; it’s roomy and functional, and it handles well and reacts quickly. You could be won over by this fine little ride. 2027 Chevy TrailBlazer Review
